I’ve always been a big dreamer. As a child, I dreamed about a life filled with freedom and opportunities – but I was told that a safe job was the only solution, meaning doing what everyone else did: getting a 9–5 job. So I followed the system. I worked as an oil mechanic, earned my certification and tried several jobs in search of “my path.” But what I found was emptiness, stress, and a constant fear of the future.
Deep down, I knew I was meant for more than living paycheck to paycheck and counting down the days to weekends and vacations. Most of all, I feared the day I became a mother and didn’t have the time to truly be present for my children – missing those precious moments that only happen once.
That’s when I made the scary decision to start my own online business – with zero experience and a sceptical husband by my side – but with a deep certainty that I was breaking free from the endless hamster wheel and system that made me feel trapped.
Today, I work from home, enjoying more freedom and time with my family simply because my fear of staying stuck in the system was bigger than my fear of failing.
